The Rotherham Baby Box Brand Identity
Leading the creative architecture for the Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, I engineered a bespoke brand identity inspired by Yorkshire’s textile heritage. By deconstructing a traditional black and white quilt pattern, I developed a high-contrast visual system that serves as a practical tool for early neonatal sensory development.
Beyond the visual execution, we delivered a strategic marketing framework that achieved near-universal community engagement. This resulted in a 99% adoption rate and rapid project mobilisation that exceeded the Council’s expectations, ultimately gaining international recognition from The BBC.
This sensory-driven solution acts as a foundational "language of care," bridging the gap between national health policy and local family needs to ensure every child in the borough receives a stimulated, supported start in life.
